This month, I had a packed calendar of events and meetings across Alabama's second Congressional district, speaking with people like you about the issues which impact all of us. Barry Moore Member of Congress | Congressional records for heroic deeds | This past week, I had the privilege of acknowledging the bravery and dedication of a few hometown heroes in our district. Law Enforcement Troopers Adkinson and Carlton were presented with Congressional records, a testament to their recent life saving actions- exemplifying the best of Dothan's protective services. | Last week, I also had the privilege to honor and highlight another hometown hero, Jack Carter. I presented him with a bronze star to recognize his valor and sacrifices that he made for our nation throughout his military service. | Legislative update at the Montgomery Chamber | This month, I had the pleasure of joining the Montgomery Chamber of Commerce to share updates on what's happening in Congress. I enjoyed this opportunity to meet with business owners and discuss economic growth in the river region. | Service Academy night in Troy | Recently Team Moore teamed up with the office of Senator Tommy Tuberville to host an informational session for students who are interested in applying to U.S. Service Academies. Alabama high school students were able to speak with congressional staff and service academy representatives to learn more about the nomination process! | Supporting literacy in Luverne | Last week, I had the pleasure of stopping by the Luverne Public Library to donate a few books to their collection. I was very impressed by their commitment to promoting reading in our community | Talking with Alabama's future leaders | This month, I also had the opportunity to visit Kingston High School , where I was able to discuss the legislative process with government students. I was deeply impressed by their insight and their eagerness to learn. | A glimpse into Alabama's pharmacy concerns | Earlier this month, I stopped by the Publix Pharmacy in Troy to discuss and understand the issues pharmacists across the state are currently facing.
