Hey John, it’s Lucas — I wanted to send you a quick note about our end-of-month fundraising goal before I hit the road for our next town hall in St. Joseph tonight.
We’re about eight hours away from our midnight deadline and my team just told me that we still need 212 donations to meet our August goal.
When our campaign meets these monthly benchmarks, we have the resources to hold events and meet with voters all across the state. We have the ability to plan ahead for critical elements to our campaign like hiring more staff, opening field offices, and placing TV ads. And we’re able to fight back against all the weird and desperate attacks coming from shady insiders and even Hawley’s own campaign.
But after we learned that GOP mega-donors and corporate elites have already raised more than a million dollars to tear me down in this race, staying on track has become more important than ever. That’s why, for the last time today, I’m asking:
