   Big news, John.
President Biden's administration is recommending that the DEA loosen
marijuana restrictions + end its status as a Schedule I drug.
If you know me, you know that for *many* years now I've supported legal
weed. When President Biden was in Pittsburgh nearly a year ago, I used the
opportunity to talk to him about the need to decriminalize marijuana. And
now, with this massive win, we're making a big step forward. 💪💪💪
Moving weed from Schedule I will have huge benefits for people across PA +
around the country. It will make it easier for folks like veterans who
rely on it as a treatment for conditions like PTSD. And it will mean that
stores in states that have decriminalized marijuana are able to more
easily access bank services and funding that were difficult or impossible
   to get before.
But let's be clear: The science has always been on our side, but the DEA
and its destructive “war on drugs” mindset has blocked reform. We have to
keep up the pressure to take more action and pursue justice for those
   harmed by those policies.
With your support, I'll continue to be the LOUDEST (and tbh, probably the
tallest) champion for legal weed + marijuana justice in the U.S. Senate.

Drugs — because it's working. If you're with me, chip in $5
or more to our people-powered campaign now.

To be clear, the last time I smoked weed in earnest was at Burning Man in
                                     1999.
Thanks, John. I'm so proud of this team today.
   ❤️John
