Patriot, Storm clouds are brewing over Washington, D.C. . . . And the storm could break loose as early as next week, when the U.S. Senate returns from summer vacation. You see, while American citizens from multiple states are struggling in the aftermath of deadly fires and a ferocious hurricane, Joe Biden is cynically attempting to tie emergency disaster relief for the people of Hawaii and now Florida to another 24 BILLION tax dollars for military funding of Ukraine. Some U.S. Senators are demanding disaster relief money not be used as a political hostage for military funding. But Biden’s spin doctor, Karine Jean-Pierre, insists money for both are imperative. She might as well say it like it is . . . No help for Americans until Zelensky gets his cut! As we’ve noted, Campaign for Liberty shares the wise view of our chairman, Dr. Ron Paul: the federal government should not be in the business of disaster relief, as too much of the time, the money never even gets to those who need it most. But in the immediate short term, it’s plain to see what’s happening is the Biden administration is extorting Congress for more money for the failed war in Ukraine. This is
unconscionable. But that’s not all Biden has been doing to force the American people pay for a war they no longer want to fund. He’s also been at work negotiating some kind of “long-term aid agreement” which would prevent a future U.S. President from reducing support for Ukraine. This scheme emerged at the NATO summit last July, which had been planned as a glorious celebration of a successful Ukrainian offensive. . . . . . but instead was an uncomfortable gathering where Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky badgered NATO members with demands for more weapons and money, so much the UK’s defense secretary complained about his ingratitude. All that officially came out of the meeting was a few more missiles for Ukraine, but behind the scenes, Biden apparently wants some kind of “long-term agreement” to fund the war into some future American president’s term. All the continuation of the war in Ukraine has done is to throw Ukrainian bodies into an increasingly lopsided war that has failed to achieve any objective. >>> The Biden administration said economic sanctions would destroy Russia’s economy. The
sanctions failed. >>> The Biden administration said Ukraine “had everything it needed” for the offensive launched in June. The offensive failed. >>> The Biden administration said since the beginning Russia would run out of weapons and the regime would soon collapse. Nothing like that has happened. As Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) said more than fifteen months ago, “We cannot save Ukraine by dooming the U.S. economy.” As Ron Paul wrote in a Campaign for Liberty email before the war even began,“The damage and destruction a war with Russia would cause is incalculable.” All of the events that have transpired since then have shown we were right all along. This war has been a total disaster. But it continues simply because the globalists think being in the middle of a terrible war in next year’s election would be good for Joe Biden . . . to the tragic fate of the Ukrainian people. A majority of Americans do not want any more money going to Ukraine. People are realizing they were constantly lied to, and the war needs to end before we get sucked into it further. But to make that happen, you and I must demand Congress oppose ALL military aid to Ukraine. Every day, the threat of major escalation looms greater. It’s critical Congress hear from as many Americans as possible. So after you sign the petition, please forward this message to your likeminded friends and family. And if you can, please support Campaign for Liberty’s work with a contribution. We are the only organization mobilizing Americans against this senseless conflict with grassroots political action. Your gift of $10 or $1,000 or something in-between will help us fight this battle. Taking on the statists in D.C. is never easy . . . or cheap. But with your help, you and I can stop this madness before it escalates further. Whether you can make a contribution of $100, $200, $500, or whatever you can afford, any contribution helps us reach and mobilize more people. Thank you for all you do to save our Republic. For Liberty, John McCardell Executive Director, Campaign for Liberty P.S. We can prevent this dangerous conflict from spiraling out of control, if only we speak out.
