I will keep this brief and be as plain as possible: the first test of our defamation case against Boebert is set for mid-September, and we need to go into this new phase of the lawsuit as strongly as possible.

But we are running out of time to do that. With the Labor Day holiday coming up, and the time we will need to spend prepping with our legal team and gearing up for what will surely be a knock-down drag-out battle with Boebert, we simply won’t be able to dedicate as much energy and focus on fundraising as we need to keep up the pace.

Fighting Boebert on multiple fronts is a challenge, but it’s what the moment calls for. We witnessed in real time as Lauren Boebert used Fox News as a gigantic megaphone to amplify demonstrably false statements about us and the well-researched and corroborated revelations about her past. We couldn’t let that stand — not when we know we have the truth on our side.
