The candidates just left the debate stage in Charleston, and one thing is clear.

John --

The candidates just left the debate stage in Charleston, and tonight's debate made this fact clearer than ever: Our party’s eventual nominee -- whoever they may be -- will be a far better president than Donald Trump could ever hope to be.

But our nominee won’t get there based on qualifications alone. Our nominee will rely on our party's unified, full-fledged support after a long and expensive primary process. We must be ready to support them the moment the general election begins. Trump and the RNC have been campaigning since the day he was inaugurated, and our Democratic nominee can’t afford to fall behind their cash advantage. That’s why I’m asking you, John:

Will you support our eventual nominee and Democrats down the ballot with a $7 contribution before Saturday's FEC deadline?

As primary voters nationwide head to the polls, it’s never been more important for our party to demonstrate that we are a united force to be reckoned with. Our eventual nominee needs to receive the full backing of the Democratic Party, and that must include loyal members like you, John.

Overcoming Trump and the RNC's huge war chest and incumbency advantage requires doing everything in our power to build a strong Democratic Party for our eventual nominee early on -- before the general election begins. That's why your support tonight, ahead of this Saturday's deadline, is so important.

Can I count on your support with a $7 contribution today? We can’t do this without you, John.

In unity,

Tom
