Hello John,

Now that we have explored what affordable housing looks like Northern Virginia, let's shift gears to who lives in affordable housing.

On Friday, September 15 from 12:00 PM to 1 PM Courtney Battle and Taylor Phillips of HAND (Housing Association of Nonprofit Developers) will discuss The Faces of Affordable Housing. HAND publishes the Housing Indicator Tool (HIT), a dashboard for measuring progress towards meeting regional housing needs. Part of the HIT helps identify who can live in our region and gives advocates and practitioners a deeper understanding of who is the "face" of affordable housing and the scale at which our housing crisis impacts individuals and families throughout the region.
