John,
I am so touched by how many of our supporters, like you, have posted online, made a donation, or reached out to wish me well since we announced that I’ll be moving on from the Innocence Project this coming January.
I’m thankful for the opportunity to have led this organization these past 15 years, with the benefit of an amazing staff. I am especially grateful I had the chance to work with and get to know our clients and their families, who are some of the most courageous and extraordinary people I have ever met.
When I move on in January, I will leave knowing the Innocence Project remains steadfast in its vision of a just system where wrongful convictions are impossible. I look forward to that day, and to the next few months of being part of this fight for justice. The work goes on.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
Maddy deLone
Executive Director
Started in 1992 as a legal clinic at Cardozo School of Law, the Innocence Project is an independent nonprofit, affiliated with Cardozo, that exonerates the wrongfully convicted through DNA testing and reforms the criminal justice system to prevent future injustice. www.innocenceproject.org
