John, my name is Robert J. Peters, and I grew up in Hyde Park with my adoptive mom, a social worker, and my adoptive dad, a civil rights attorney. It's no surprise that I developed a passion for helping the people around me.
If you remember anything about me, make it this: at my core, I'm an organizer. I've spent my adult life calling out wrongdoing and fighting for change.
Now, as a State Senator, I've put in the work to 1️⃣ prioritize public safety, 2️⃣ stand up for our working families, and 3️⃣ make Illinois the first state in the nation to end cash bail.
I want to continue being a strong advocate for what our community needs, but getting through 2024 elections will be a different story. To be as prepared as possible, my team and I are relying on meeting our early fundraising goals.
And our last big deadline of the summer is tonight. Please, John, will you donate any amount toward my $2,191 goal?
