John,
During big moments like this end-of-month deadline, I like to stop and reflect about why I ran for Congress in the first place.
In 2017, after my service in the Marines and serving in the Maine State Legislature, I got tired of watching Washington DC fail to represent our community’s common interests and address the needs and challenges of this district and its hard-working residents. So I decided to do something about it and ran for Congress against an entrenched incumbent. I won in large part thanks to grassroots supporters like you having my back every step of the way.
Since I got to Congress, I’ve had one goal–to put working and middle-class Mainers ahead of special interests. While in Congress, I’ve worked across the aisle to lower costs, fight for veterans, promote health care access, and weed out corruption in Washington. I don’t take corporate PAC money, so people like you chipping in what they can, when they can is the only way I can continue this important work.
Thanks to our grassroots movement, I’ve won tough races in 2018, 2020, and 2022. We can do it again in 2024, but only if we continue meeting every fundraising goal we set. That’s why today’s end-of-month deadline is so important.
John, there’s still a lot more work to do for Maine families in Congress. But my team has told me we still need to raise $977 before today’s end-of-month deadline and we need to hit every fundraising goal we set in order to stay competitive in this race.
Can you chip in any amount now to get us over the finish line for our goal?
