But if Adam is successful, it will also allow him to be an even more powerful defender of our democracy and its institutions. Because this isn’t about Trump. This is about the vision Adam has for the future of our state and country, and the vision that I know you share. Where right and truth and decency matter. And the oath of office means something.

Where the economy works for everyone, and everyone has a chance to succeed. Where parents can put their children to bed knowing they will be safe, knowing that if they get ill, they can get the care that they need, and knowing that the planet can be as healthy as they are.

I believe that our country is filled with promise and that our democracy is precious. And fragile. Adam has been on the frontlines, protecting it. He always will be. And you have always been by his side. I am so grateful for that.
