It's the last day of August, summer is winding down, and we're finalizing step-by-step our plan of attack for this year's elections and next.

Obviously, we have our Plan A, and a series of backup plans and contingencies, too — but one of the most significant factors that helps us formulate an effective strategy is ensuring we have the funds we need as early as possible.

Unfortunately, elections have become a year-round job for organizers like us. These movements aren't built overnight, and we can't just work extra hard from September through November to get things accomplished.

We get it, there's a lot happening all the time, and it's sometimes necessary to tune out politics until the height of the election season. But so much of what has to happen to get effective, driven candidates across the finish line has to happen in the 'off-year.' You can make a contribution today to help fund our efforts at the onset and have a huge impact on what we're able to achieve.

We proudly give financial support, coaching, and in-kind services to rural and underrepresented Democratic county parties, candidates, and organizations — year-round. During the 2022 cycle alone, we:

• Issued $2,000 grants to over 200 county parties giving them extra room in their budgets;
• Provided 100,000 texts to 10 Black-led organizations to identify new supporters and build power; and
• Recruited 1,800 candidates to run for local office and coached 662 of them to victory.
