THE WEEK'S BIG 3
Thousands converged Saturday on the National Mall for the 60th anniversary of Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.'s March on Washington, saying a country that remains riven by racial inequality has yet to fulfill his dream. A white gunman wearing a tactical vest barged into a Dollar General store in Jacksonville, Fla., on Saturday and fatally shot three Black people in an attack that was clearly motivated by racial hatred. An off-duty Israeli soldier was killed and six other people, some of them soldiers, were wounded in a truck-ramming terror attack at a West Bank checkpoint near the central city of Modiin on Thursday morning.
Read on for more on these headlines, news you can use to fight hate and the latest info about ADL from around the country.

“Inevitably, Saturday’s event was shot through with contrasts to the initial, historic demonstration. Speakers and banners talked about the importance of LGBTQ and Asian American rights. Many who addressed the crowd were women after only one was given the microphone in 1963.” Associated Press:

Soldier Killed, Six Injured in Truck-Ramming Terror Attack in Israel
“According to the Israel Defense Forces’ initial investigation, the Palestinian truck driver arrived at the Maccabim checkpoint from the Israeli side, made a U-turn without entering the West Bank, and ran over a number of off-duty soldiers who were walking on the side of the road. The soldiers, of the 411th Battalion of the 282nd Regiment in the IDF’s Artillery Corps, were walking from a nearby army post to a bus station, to head to a team-building activity in Modiin.” Times of Israel:
