I am running for re-election in 2024 because this will be one of the most consequential elections of our lifetimes. There are too many critical issues at stake: protecting our democracy, creating good paying, labor jobs, making sure everyone has access to clean water and clean air, fighting back against global climate change, guaranteeing health care for all, and so much more.

Right now, Team Dingell is organizing volunteers who are circulating my nominating petition in their communities. It’s the only way to get my name on Michigan’s ballot and is a critical step in the early stages of this reelection campaign.

My name won’t be the only name on the ballot, Team. Part of Team Dingell’s critical work in 2024 will be reaching voters so they turn out to vote for Democrats up and down the ballot.

So many frontline state legislators represent state house and state senate districts that fall within Michigan’s 6th U.S. House District as well as candidates running in critical local offices. We need to make sure voters understand how crucial these local races are.

241,759 Michigan voters cast their ballots for me in the last election — more than any other Michigan member of Congress received. Why? Because of the work we do together to organize and lift all boats in our district.

That incredible turnout didn't just send me back to Congress — it gave Democrats control of the Governor's office, State House, and State Senate for the first time in decades.

This means that once again, together in 2024, we have the responsibility to help Democrats win up and down the ballot, both in and outside of Michigan’s 6th District.
