This campaign is about so much more than winning an election. It’s about building a sustainable, grassroots movement and re-imagining what’s possible. When I launched my first campaign back in 2019, there had never been an openly gay, Black person elected to Congress, and very few who knew what it was like to grow up housing insecure, or watch their families struggle to put food on the table, as I have.

We defied the odds—and we can do it again.

There are just a few hours left until our end-of-month fundraising deadline, so I want to personally ask: Will you dig deep and make a donation of $5—or more if your circumstances allow—to help build our grassroots campaign to defeat Mike Lawler, flip NY-17, and take back the House majority? The fight for affordable housing, higher wages, and protections for the LGBTQ+ community are not platitudes to me— they are my lived experiences, and compel me every day to fight for a better future for all of us.

When we have more leaders in office for whom policy is personal, we get better policy outcomes.

I’m ready to fight like hell to lower costs, raise wages, restore the freedom to have an abortion, protect voting rights, and make life better for the everyday people of the lower Hudson Valley, but I can only do it with your support.
