When I look back at my time in Congress as your representative, I am overwhelmed with pride and can't help but reflect on all we've accomplished — together — for our district and state.

From my beginnings in economic development to my service in the Washington State Capitol, and now as your representative in the U.S. House, it has been an honor to stand up for the people of our region. I could not be more proud to dedicate my career to folks from every corner of our beautiful state.

With you by my side every step of the way, we're shaping a brighter future and making real progress on Capitol Hill. Just this year, we've launched the Puget Sound Federal Leadership Task Force, a collaboration with Rep. Marilyn Strickland, to enhance our region's influence on critical federal issues.

We've: introduced the Mental Health Improvement Act to tackle the mental health crisis within our armed forces; proposed the Yes In My Backyard Act, a crucial step toward investing in affordable, safe housing for our communities; secured crucial funding for our region to improve salmon populations and protect our natural resources…and SO much more.

But let me be clear: Our work is far from over. From fighting to protect and advance fundamental voting rights to working to enshrine a woman's right to reproductive freedom into federal law since the fall of Roe v. Wade, it's evident that the road ahead won't be without its challenges. But as long as I can count on your support, I know we have what it takes to not only protect this seat — but also to create real change for folks all across Washington.
