Dear John, Throughout August and into September, we’ve been lifting up women’s leadership in a social media campaign across our platforms (and if you’re not following us on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn, you should check us out!) In the words of President and CEO Teresa C. Younger, the Ms. Foundation is a “leaderful” organization. Just this month, our Birth Justice Program Officer Sona Smith was announced as a member of the Obama Foundation’s inaugural Leaders USA Program. Sona pioneered our birth justice grantmaking initiative, which aims to address race-based health disparities in birth experiences and birth outcomes. At our annual Ms. on Martha’s event, Teresa spoke to Jocelyn Frye, President of the National Partnership for Women & Families, Fatima Goss Graves, President and CEO of the National Women's Law Center about Black women’s leadership in philanthropy, policy, and social justice.
