Dear Friend,

In 2022 alone, insecticides like sulfoxaflor wiped out 39% of beekeepers’ colonies.

So Earthjustice went to court, and we forced the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to reconsider its approval of the bee-killing pesticide sulfoxaflor.

Now, our lawsuit to protect honey bees is at a tipping point: The EPA has just a few months left to make a new decision about the use of this deadly pesticide. Earthjustice is organizing advocacy efforts and fighting in court to ensure bees are protected from toxic pesticides.

Friend, multi-year legal battles like this one are why we need a reliable stream of donations to power our work. We represent our clients free of charge, so our strength lies in you: passionate environmentalists who support our movement.

Scientists estimate that since the 1970s, 50% to 68% of all plant and animal life has vanished, so we must act now to stop the biodiversity crisis. Our end of month deadline is at midnight. Will you join our fight and donate to protect our planet and our future?

MIDNIGHT DEADLINE: DONATE NOW: [link removed]

Bees are essential pollinators — they are necessary for hundreds of plant species to thrive. Without them, entire ecosystems and one-third of the foods we eat would be in danger.

The graphic above shows the dire state of agriculture without bees.

But bees have inherent value in addition to being critical to our food supply. And the same is true for hundreds of other species that Earthjustice is fighting to protect — species facing threats from toxic pesticides, habitat loss, and other human activities. If we continue at our current pace, one million species could be extinct in less than 80 years.

My colleagues and I at Earthjustice are engaged in over 500 lawsuits, legal actions, and advocacy efforts to defend the Earth. We are protecting people and wildlife from pesticides, safeguarding critical habitats, thwarting oil and gas drilling, strengthening the Endangered Species Act, promoting a clean energy transition, working with tribal partners to steward the Earth, and more.

The environment is a vast, interconnected web of life. So our work must also be vast and interconnected. Earthjustice is the largest nonprofit legal organization fighting to protect the planet, and our 200 lawyers have won over 1,000 cases already.

Will you join us today with a commitment to protect our planet and our future? Will you join us today with a commitment to protect our planet and our future?

MIDNIGHT DEADLINE: DONATE NOW: [link removed]

Sincerely,
Greg Loarie
