Credentialism Is Sinking our Fertility Rate
- Over the last few decades, there has been steep decline in marriage and fertility rates. The societal decision to delay or abandon marriage and parenthood is, in essence, a decision to extend adolescence, sometimes indefinitely.
- While marriage and fertility rates have declined, rates of those with a high school education or more have increased significantly. A more educated society and increased skills levels are objectively good things, but this has also extended adolescence, a period of limbo during which people who historically would have taken on adult roles of work and family largely defer assuming those responsibilities.
- If we want to enjoy the benefits of higher economic production without unnecessarily extending adolescence, we need to recognize that not all increases in educational attainment have been necessary to obtain economically useful skills. More and more jobs that people used to perform with a high school education or less now require at least a BA.

U.S. Attorney Weiss Colluded With DOJ To Thwart Congressional Questioning, Emails Show
- Emails obtained by the Heritage Foundation’s Oversight Project show that the Department of Justice intervened on behalf of U.S. Attorney David Weiss to respond to congressional inquiries regarding the Hunter Biden investigation.
- These emails demonstrate that there was collusion between the DOJ and Weiss and call into question the veracity of Weiss’ responses to inquiries from Members of Congress.
- At the same time U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland was claiming that Weiss was independent, he was running communications from Weiss to the DOJ. It’s a slap in the face to the American people who deserve to see transparency and fairness in the justice system.

Kamala Harris Slip-Up Reveals How Bidenomics Is Hurting American Families
- When speaking about the costs of getting an abortion, Vice President Kamala Harris stated that “most Americans are a $400 unexpected expense away from bankruptcy.”
- While not exactly true, it does reveal a counter-narrative that the Biden administration is otherwise choosing to ignore and shows that even the White House, which touts “Bidenomics” as a good thing, realizes how many Americans are struggling to make ends meet.
- The truth is that a majority of Americans are unable to cover a common but unexpected $400 expense because their cost of living is way up and real wage growth has failed to keep pace. So, they are draining their savings and retirement accounts and maxing out their credit cards despite crippling interest rates.

Gadsden Flag Vindicated: Colorado School Reverses Course After Kicking Student Out for Patriotic Backpack
- A Colorado Springs school has reversed course after booting a 12-year-old boy off campus for refusing to remove a patch on his backpack depicting the patriotic “Don’t Tread on Me” Gadsden flag.
- Administrators at the school told a 7th-grader, Jaiden, that he could not come back to school while wearing a backpack with this patriotic flag, claiming it was associated with “slavery” and the “slave trade”.
- The school has since reversed course and is allowing Jaiden to wear the flag on his backpack.
