Melissa Lee MP: End of Parliament Update
Thank you!
As we come to the end of the 53rd Parliament I want to thank
everyone who has reached out to me for assistance over the last three
years.
It has been an amazing privilege to serve as a Member of Parliament
and I hope to be returned in October for another term working for the
people of New Zealand
Today is the final sitting day of Parliament so I'll be focused
heavily in Mt Albert and around Auckland over the coming weeks with
Select Committees and other House business wrapping up in
Wellington.
Across this Parliament I have asked 10,128 Parliamentary
Written Questions Spoken over 150
times in the House and attended hundreds of cultural and community
celebrations up and down the country.
From Invercargill to Opononi and across the streets of Mt Albert's
suburbs it has been wonderful supporting the aspirations of New
Zealanders from all walks of life.
Below are a few highlights of the last three years (even with all
the lows of COVID-19):
Visiting Paeroa with Coromandel MP Scott
Simpson (and the World Famous in NZ L&P
Bottle) 🍾
Opening the new Korean War Memorial Pavilion at the Songpa-gu
Gardens in Christchurch 🎖️
Challenging the Government about Crime in Mount Albert in
Parliament 👮
Welcoming a new Member of the Family into my Auckland
home 🐕
Championing the connectivity needs of the West Coast with
Maureen Pugh MP 🏞️
Enjoying Fish and Chips with my fantastic Mt Albert Volunteers
and Friends in Rocket Park 🍟
