A loudly-wrong white supremacist, anti-immigrant minority has dictated U.S. immigration policy for too long, neglecting basic human decency and undermining the nation's best interests.

As a result, the lives and well-being of millions of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipients, Temporary Protected Status (TPS) holders, and Deferred Enforced Departure (DED) recipients continue to be tossed around from court case to court case, subject to cruel debates about their humanity and belonging.

The bipartisan American Dream and Promise Act of 2023 would finally provide millions of DACA recipients, TPS holders, and DED recipients with a path to citizenship. It creates a permanent resident status for ten years for Dreamers, grants people with TPS or DED lawful permanent resident status, and enacts protections against deportation for Dreamers and immigrant families during the application process.

Congress can and must provide permanent relief. We have the bill. Now we need to find the political will. Sign on to demonstrate broad support for sensible immigration policy.

This legislation is a lifeline for an estimated 2.3 million undocumented individuals, nearly 580,000 DACA recipients, almost 400,000 TPS and DED holders, and an additional 170,000 'Documented Dreamers,' safeguarding them from deportation and providing a pathway to permanent legal status.
