John,

Supreme Court justices are supposed to avoid even the appearance of impropriety. Someone needs to tell that to Clarence Thomas.

Enjoying 38 destination vacations and 26 private jet flights, paid for by billionaires with an interest in how the Court rules, and not disclosing them as gifts? That seems pretty corrupt to me.

And it begs serious questions about Thomas’ impartiality — questions that Thomas hasn’t even come close to answering.

I’m leading a letter with Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Jerry Nadler, Jamie Raskin, and Ted Lieu, calling for a DOJ investigation into Clarence Thomas.

But more than that, John, I’m leading the charge to bring accountability to the Supreme Court through legislation that would make this type of pay-to-play politicking nearly impossible on the nation’s highest court.

My bills will institute a code of conduct for Supreme Court Justices, create term limits so that decades-old cozy relationships between justices and billionaires don’t threaten our democracy, and expand the number of justices to re-balance and re-legitimize the Court after Trump and McConnell rammed through a conservative supermajority.

Here’s the thing: I need to be taken seriously when I go toe-to-toe with Clarence Thomas and right-wing billionaires. But if they check my public fundraising numbers, they’re going to write me off. I need your help to build a serious messaging machine and fight back against their smear attacks. Will you help me fight for reform by making a contribution right now?

Thank you, John. Clarence Thomas may have his billionaire friends on his side, but I’m thankful to have you on mine.
