Looking back on the work I’ve done in the Senate, my record on the environment is one of the things I’m most proud of.
Long before we passed the historic Inflation Reduction Act or the Great Outdoors Act, I was fighting to cut our reliance on coal energy and flip the switch on spending more on renewable energy than on fossil fuels.
So I’ll be honest: When I heard that not a single GOP presidential candidate at last week’s debate raised their hand “yes” when asked if climate change is real, my first thought was
we can’t hand the reins to these people.
