The scourge of gun violence in this country is sickening.

Last weekend’s racist shooting in Jacksonville is a solemn reminder that our work to battle the epidemic of gun violence and white supremacy in America is far from over.

In Congress, NewDem Members such as Rep. Lucy McBath, who lost her son to gun violence, and Rep. Jared Moskowitz, who represents Parkland, the site of a tragic school shooting, have been leaders in the fight to prevent gun violence and take on the NRA to make our communities safer.

Each of us deserves to be safe in our schools, movie theaters, and grocery stores without the fear of gun violence.

Despite this senseless gun violence, MAGA Republicans in the House majority continue to block critical gun control legislation to stop the next mass shooting. It’s pathetic, cowardly, and incomprehensible.

But NewDems are committed to funneling our anger and pain into real action, to try to stop the violence.
