The article asserts that his role in inciting the insurrection, which aimed to disrupt the 2020 election and prevent the rightful winner, Joe Biden, from assuming office, disqualifies him under the 14th Amendment.
Challenging Elected Representatives
In light of these claims, it is important also to engage with elected representatives who have shown support for Trump, such as my opponent, Congressman Jack Bergman.
I am eager to Bergman on his endorsement of Trump at every turn. Democracy is at stake, and it must be safeguarded from those who attempted to overthrow it. Bergman's inappropriate involvement in the Antrim election lawsuit makes him complicit in Jan. 6.
The question of Trump's eligibility for future public office raises important considerations regarding the commitment laid out in the Constitution, and Americans deserve answers.
We must strive for a society that respects the rule of law and supports a fair and transparent political system that serves the best interests of all citizens. A second Trump presidency would hinder progress, and may be, by law, unconstitutional.
Our constitution is nothing to snub your nose at. The argument has been brought by conservative legal scholars, not Democrats. If Trump is ineligible, it's also important to get answers about Rep. Bergman's support of the alleged felon, and his own role in Jan. 6.
, I need your help defeating Bergman, so we can our district can have a Congressman dedicated to upholding the US Constitution.
Thank you!
