Intercity Transit Authority Updates their Bylaws

At the Intercity Transit Authority (ITA) meeting on Wednesday, Aug. 16, the ITA voted to amend their bylaws to replace all language that refers to the ITA Citizen Representative positions to be updated to ITA Community Representatives. This amendment is consistent with Intercity Transit's Community Advisory Committee that changed its name in 2017.

Intercity Transit is governed by the ITA. The ITA is a nine-member Board of Directors and consists of five elected officials who represent the Thurston County Board of Commissioners and the Cities of Lacey, Tumwater, Olympia, and Yelm. Three members are community representatives appointed by the Board, and one member is a labor representative.
