John,
There have been a number of important updates in our effort to flip CA-41 from red to blue. Here are the three most critical things to know as we close in on our end-of-month fundraising deadline -- which hits tomorrow at midnight.
- » Last month, The Cook Political Report moved Will's race to unseat Ken Calvert to a “Toss Up.” Analysts cited Will's impressive fundraising performance, which is credit to grassroots donors like you. They also called the shifting demographics in CA-41 a "ticking time bomb" for Republicans hoping to keep this seat red.
- » Despite the purple makeup of this district, Ken Calvert has doubled down on his extreme positions. He recently voted to strike down over $3 million in earmarks for projects providing services to the LGBTQ+ community, including meals for seniors. As a reminder, CA-41 is home to one of the largest LGTBQ+ communities in the country.
- » Earlier this month, Kevin McCarthy's super PAC announced a $100 million offensive dubbed the "Blue States Project." Their goal? Spend massive sums on attack ads in swing districts within blue states to protect their grip on the House.
With our race heating up, and Will attracting the attention of Republican super PACs, we can't fall short of tomorrow's end-of-month deadline. Please consider making your first donation of $3 to flip CA-41 right away.
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
