John,
I don't want my son to struggle like I have to – and I'm doing something about it.
I've worked at McDonald's in Charleston on and off for seven years ... and I'm still only paid $8.75 an hour. I can barely put food on the table or give my son the health care he needs.
I thought I was alone. But when I went on strike yesterday in South Carolina with McDonald's cooks and cashiers, I felt powerful.
When we vote together, we do the same thing. We take the power we get from the streets to the ballot box. We elect politicians that care about us and we win what we deserve.
Let's elect leaders who'll support our families by fighting for $15/hr and Unions for All!
Find your polling location in DC and make sure you've got a plan to vote.
Our movement is strong, and we know the presidential candidates are listening.
In South Carolina, we've seen multiple candidates with us on the strike line. And almost every presidential candidate has joined the Fight for $15 across the country to stand with us.
Now it's time to make our voices heard at the ballot box! Make a plan to vote and find out your polling location in District of Columbia now!
Together, we WILL win a better future.
