Vaccine Clinic

Reminder, next week is my Giant Pharmacy Vaccination Clinic! Join us at the Upper Providence Township Building on Thursday, September 7, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Vaccines for Influenza, COVID-19 Booster, and Pneumonia will be available. Please bring your Medicare and Pharmacy Insurance cards. Make an appointment and sign up today.

SEIU Rally

On Tuesday, I joined my colleagues as we marched in solidarity with Local 32BJ SEIU unionists in Philadelphia rallying for fair contracts and wage increases. A few thousand SEIU workers strong, union members from Massachusetts to DC joined their Philly counterparts to show support ahead of upcoming Philly contract negotiations. The rally converged with UNI Global Union, an organization currently hosting an international conference on unions and the growing labor movement, who came out and showed their support. It was truly inspirational to see so many people from up and down the East Coast and around the world marching in solidarity with workers from Pennsylvania.

Born in a union family, I’m proud to support organized labor as they continue to seek respect, dignity, and fairness in the workplace. In Harrisburg I’ll continue to support our unions through bills to increase the minimum wage and strengthen worker’s protections. Proud to be #ProUnion

Methacton School District Looking for Volunteers

The Methacton School District is calling for volunteers for their Methacton High School Campus Planning Committee (MHSCPC), which will encompass a diverse group of community stakeholders who will meet and provide recommendations to the School Board on future investments in the Methacton High School Campus. Students, parents, staff, and community members are all welcomed to join. From updated facilities assessments, substantial facility investments at the High School Campus will be required within the next five to 10 years, and the MHSCPC will assist with planning. You can register to volunteer for this committee and learn more about the overall project here.

Labor Day

Happy Labor Day! Every day we are grateful for our first responders, nurses, delivery drivers, unionized workers, utility and transportation workers, customer service and food industry workers for their labor and assistance in our communities. In observance of the holiday, my office will be closing at noon on Friday, September 1, and reopen on Tuesday, September 5.
