The last Democratic Debate was a shameful display of how little immigration — an issue that affects millions — gets discussed. Considering that the debate was held in Las Vegas, Nevada, a state where one-third of the population is made up of Latinx folks, we expected a deep discussion around the impact of immigration on the lives of all immigrant folks.

But we were wrong, friend. For almost the entirety of the debate, the candidates and moderators looked away from the topic. And only brought it to light minutes before the end of the 3-hour long debate. Where a question on DACA was directed and poorly answered by moderate candidate, Amy Klobachar. This is just irresponsible and unacceptable. 😤
