But the thing about our race is that MAGA Republicans know NY-17 is key to the House majority. That’s why big-name Republicans like Elise Stefanik are hyper-focused on buying Congressman Lawler’s way into a second term.

Honestly, I’m not altogether surprised at the outpouring of support. People know Mondaire and understand candidates like him are all too rare in politics these days. He’s running to make life easier for the community that helped raise him and make a real difference for everyday people who have so much on the line.

As a Congressman and candidate, Mondaire leads with his values. That’s why he’ll never take a penny of corporate PAC money, and why he’ll always put the public interest first.

As the most legislatively active freshman in Congress, Mondaire got to work immediately to lower the costs of prescription drugs, advance voting rights legislation, bring hundreds of millions of dollars to the lower Hudson Valley for schools, housing, and health care, and so much more.
