Addressing health disparities in Black communities by focusing on diabetes
Our partners at Diverse Elders Coalition wrote about the ways state and federal institutions can address diabetes in the African American and Black communities. Diabetes disproportionately affects these groups, but small actions such as providing culturally competent health information may help community members better understand how to avoid or regulate the condition.
