Hurricane Idalia has officially made landfall in Florida as a major Category 3 storm, forcing many Floridians to lose power as a result.
If you have not evacuated your home, remain sheltered in place. Do not attempt to walk, swim, or drive through flooded streets. If you've experienced any water damage to electrical devices, it is essential that they are not used until an electrician has declared them safe. Should the power go out, opt for flashlights over candles to prevent unnecessary fire risks.
