Summer is coming to a close but we won’t soon forget the sweltering days that delivered some of the hottest daily temperatures ever recorded in the U.S.

The climate crisis has never felt more present and more urgent – but Democrats delivered historic investments in climate action last year, and we’re not stopping now.

I’m proud to have worked hard in the Senate to pass the Inflation Reduction Act, which included clean energy tax credits and grants to lower energy costs, create good-paying jobs, and build real energy independence for Washington state.

Over the years together, we’ve delivered the Great Outdoors Act; protected Bristol Bay, the Tongass National Forest, and the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge for future generations; and fully funded the Land and Water Conservation Fund.

The bottom line is it’s on us to protect our environment – and while I’m proud of these wins, there’s so much more left to do.
