Friends,
There are few things I find more infuriating in today’s politics than when our opponents call us “radical.”
Just a few years ago, they called a $15 minimum wage and Medicare for All “radical” and “too ambitious.” Now, both have broad support and are gaining momentum at the national level.
It’s not radical to think every single person in America deserves high-quality health care.
It’s not radical to protect our planet and take on this climate crisis.
It’s not radical to insist that dignity and justice, not racism and cruelty, guide our immigration policy.
But as long as we put forward bold ideas, we’re going to get attacked for our courage. Friend: I need you to stand with me as we fight for the progressive future we want to see. Will you chip in $5 before our February deadline on Saturday?

Our fight is not just to defeat Trump, it’s about moving beyond the status quo toward a future defined by our shared values.
American history is defined by what was seen as radical becoming reality. Social Security, Medicare, Civil Rights, and marriage equality were all considered “radical.” Now they’re a fundamental part of our nation.
When a $15 minimum wage was still considered “radical,” I was proud to serve on the committee that helped engineer Seattle’s $15 minimum wage law — and five years later, I was proud to vote for a similar law to raise the wage nationally.
With hard work and relentless organizing, anything is possible. I’m asking you to believe in that with me.
This movement has come so far. If you want to see more “radical” ideas become reality, make a $5 contribution before our February deadline.
In solidarity,
Pramila
