URGENT ACTION NEEDED: Stop a CATASTROPHIC liquefied natural gas project in Papua New Guinea. Our planet and people can’t afford it! >> Take action now, Friend.

A similar project led by Exxon-Mobil has been associated with human rights abuses and broken economic promises in the country. The new project would threaten Papua New Guinea’s Gulf Province – where rising sea levels have already forced some communities to move their homes MULTIPLE TIMES in a country where 40% are below the poverty line.

This project is good for NOTHING but stuffing fossil fuel executives’ wallets. But the U.S. might approve this CLIMATE BOMB, dooming communities in Papua New Guinea to increased pollution and dooming the entire planet to bake even faster! Tell the U.S. Export-Import Bank to REJECT the proposed liquefied natural gas project in Papua New Guinea before it’s too late. Add your name by 11:59pm TONIGHT!

UN researchers have confirmed that to reach even a 50% chance of avoiding catastrophic global warming we need to immediately end all liquefied natural gas investments like this project in Papua New Guinea. Otherwise, we will continue to see raging wildfires, unprecedented storms, and homes swallowed by a rising sea.

This isn’t a big ask, Friend. In fact, the U.S. already made an international commitment NOT to support projects like this – but it’s considering violating that commitment anyway! Your message could be the difference. Please, Friend, help us reach our goal of 2,389 more signatures by midnight tonight and SAVE our planet from another fossil fuel disaster! Sign now!
