John,
As you may know, RCV opponents added a ballot measure to repeal Ranked Choice Voting in Minnetonka. Our supporters are energized to defeat this repeal, and we had a great campaign kickoff last Sunday (see recap below). But the campaign to fight the repeal and save RCV must be funded, and right now, we are falling short.
We've got less than four weeks until early voting begins, and we MUST get the word out to educate voters in an off-year election. Fortunately, a group of supporters has stepped up to match every donation from now through Labor Day.
Can we count on you to make a donation to our Minnetonka organizing fund so our campaign team has the resources to reach Minnetonka voters? Chip in whatever you can right now and your donation will be doubled [[link removed]] .
We have a great campaign team, but we need funding to pay for t-shirts, yard signs, mailers, social media and other outreach to Minnetonka voters.
Please make a donation to help us hit our goal, and your donation will be matched [[link removed]] .

John,
Wow — what a kickoff!!! Huge thanks for attending the Vote NO on Repeal Campaign Kickoff yesterday at Unmapped to help save Ranked Choice Voting in Minnetonka!
As Senator Morrison said, “we don’t understand why anyone would be opposed to Ranked Choice Voting, which is just the kind of the change we need in this moment for a stronger democracy.”
“Imagine a day,” Senator Cwodzinski added, “when elections are about what we can do together and not about bringing us down, but lifting us up. RCV is a step in that direction, and we must keep moving forward - not only for us, but also for our children and grandchildren.”
This ballot measure is critical –– not only for saving RCV in Minnetonka –– but also for advancing this promising reform throughout the state.
Special thanks to our Senators Morrison and Cwodzinski, and Senate Elections Committee Chair Jim Carlson and Vice Chair Sen. Bonnie Westlin and Rep. Kaela Berg —- and all the local council and school board candidates for being there, including Hennepin County Commissioner Kevin Anderson; Minnetonka City Council members Kissy Coakley (Ward 4) and Brian Kirk (Ward 1); Hopkins School Board Chair Jen Westmoreland and members Rachel Hartland and Shannon Andreson; candidates for Minnetonka City Council Patsy Foster-Bolton (Ward 1), David Haeg (Ward 3) and Paula Ramaley (Ward 3); candidate for Minnetonka School Board Dan Olson; candidates for Hopkins School Board Zhiming Zhao and Brooke Ann Roper; and candidate for Wayzata School Board Dan Ginestra!
We are so excited you all are a part of this journey and need you to stay with us through election day and make sure this ballot measure fails.
Next Steps
Early voting starts in 25 days! We urgently need your financial support and time to help to reach as many voters as possible so we can defeat this repeal.
