My parents and grandparents sacrificed a lot for me to get where I am today. 

But I worry if we’re not very careful, my children and grandchildren are going to have to live out the same experiences me, my parents, and grandparents fought so hard to put behind us.

That might sound like hyperbole, John, but I promise -- it’s not. Just look at what’s happened in recent weeks:

We can’t afford the return of Trump in the White House. We can’t afford someone like DeSantis at the helm either. And we can’t afford another two years of the GOP controlling the House agenda. 

So when I say the stakes for 2024 are high, John, I really do mean it. 

The next 14 months will determine whether we go backward or forward, and together, we can elect leaders who will ensure we stay on the right path forward.
