Dear John,
We have just returned from a beautiful and emotional trip to Cuba, where we delivered aid to pediatric hospitals in three major Cuban cities — Santa Clara, Cienfuegos, and Sancti Spíritus. To many of you who generously contributed to the Puentes de Amor and CODEPINK fund to bring aid to pediatric hospitals in Cuba, we want to express our sincerest gratitude.
As a special thank you, we have a surprise gift <[link removed]>that we would like to share with you, from Cuba, with love.Keep scrolling down to find out what it is.
At the hospital in Santa Clara, one of the doctors told us that they have almost no pain pills left for the children and that they had to give injections to reduce the children’s fever. That’s why they were so relieved to receive the 33,000 acetaminophen pills we delivered. We were able to deliver the pills to not just one but three hospitals. In total, we delivered 99,000 pills of acetaminophen.
But that's not all - thanks to your generosity, we were also able to deliver 5,000 pounds of powdered milk!
The donations many of you provided will have a profound impact on the lives of these children and we are deeply grateful for your support. We are determined to keep raising funds for humanitarian aid and to keep pressuring the Biden administration to normalize relations with Cuba. You can take action here by adding your name to the 1 Million Signatures to Take Cuba off the Terrorist List campaign <[link removed]>.
Despite the inhumane US blockade that causes shortages of these vital products, our solidarity can never be blockaded. Your kindness and compassion was felt by everyone in the hospitals. Your generosity embodies the spirit of compassion and solidarity that we found among the Cuban people, who all help each other to get through the difficult times they are facing. Thank you for your commitment to creating Puentes de Amor with our brothers and sisters in Cuba.
