John

Earlier this month, in a blow to abortion access, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit issued a decision that mifepristone should remain legal, but with significant restrictions on access. [1]

Abortion pills have an over twenty year track record of safety and effectiveness. Give to support our work fighting for greater access.

The ruling states that mifepristone should not be prescribed past seven weeks of pregnancy or via telemedicine, though these restrictions will not go into effect right away. Mifepristone will remain on the market in states where abortion is legal and available by telemedicine and mail for now. [2]

This is still a gross attempt at restriction, and discounts people’s proven abilities to use abortion pills in the comfort of their own homes. Donate today.

We must stand up for and push for expanded access, which includes greater availability of abortion pills.

Join us.

Sincerely,

Shireen Shakouri
Deputy Director, Reproaction

P.S. We’ve said it before, we’ll say it again: abortion pills are magic!
