Prepare for Hurricane Idalia
Dear John,
Hurricane Idalia has made landfall in Florida, and is likely to impact North Carolina over the next 48 hours.
Our community is expected to get significant amounts of rainfall, and flash flooding is a possibility. Remember, if you see pools of water on the street, Turn Around - Don't Drown!
As of right now, hurricane-force winds are not expected in the Charlotte region, but since conditions can change quickly, please stay up to date by following the latest forecast on the radio, on local news, or online. If your local meteorologist says to shelter in place and reconsider non-essential travel, please listen!
