VOTE ALERT: Today, yet again, the Senate is considering two bills to make abortion harder to access.

Let’s not be deceived: these bills are the latest step in Republicans’ plan to attack our rights and freedoms and to ban safe, legal abortion in this country.

These bills -- including an unconstitutional 20-week abortion ban -- are misleading, based on junk science, and will ultimately put pregnant people and their healthcare providers in danger.

Senate Republicans who are pushing these bills are putting their own politics ahead of their constituents’ health and safety and ahead of the will of the people. With 80% of Americans supporting Roe v. Wade, this is just the latest evidence that the GOP is not on our side.

So we need you to do two things right now:

  1. Call your senators TODAY (really, right now) and tell them you oppose both of these bills. You can reach the main Capitol switchboard at (202) 224-3121 -- the two bills up for a vote are S.3275 and S.311/S.130. If your senators support the bills, let them know that you won’t forget their vote and that you’ll pay them back for it in November. If they’re opposed, thank them and make sure they know we need them to stand strong. Once you've made the calls, reply to this email and let us know how it went!

  2. Donate to support the Payback Project and all of our work this year. Lindsey Graham, one of the senators we’re targeting with the Payback Project, introduced one of these bills, and we expect all of the Payback targets to vote the wrong way. That’s why we’re working to take back the Senate so these reactionary, Trump-enabling conservatives won’t be able to hold people’s healthcare hostage anymore -- but our work is grassroots-funded, and we need your help to make it all possible.

These bills and others like them have failed in the Senate before because of public pressure. We need to build that pressure again -- and we need to do it today. The five minutes it’ll take you to do steps one and two above could honestly make all the difference here. Thanks for taking action with us.
