“The Supreme Court will decide if abusive spouses have a right to own guns.”

Add your name to tell the Supreme Court to UPHOLD the current law that prohibits
individuals facing domestic violence related restraining orders from acquiring
firearms.

Folks – The
Gun Lobby and NRA will not stop until they reverse every single regulation
on firearms on the books regardless of the human cost and lives lost.

Looking at decades of data, we know that firearms are used in the vast
majority of intimate partner homicides. We know that abusers seeking
firearms with a history of domestic violence are very likely to use those
firearms to threaten, wound, or kill the very person seeking protection
via a restraining order.

Last year, conservatives SUCCESSFULLY ruled in a Federal Circuit Court
that any restriction on gun ownership by abusers is unconstitutional. And
now they’re taking their case to the Supreme Court to strike down
restrictions in all 50 states.

This is incredibly dangerous which is why we’re speaking out:

[ [link removed] ]Join thousands across the country in telling the Supreme Court to
UPHOLD existing laws that block individuals with restraining orders
related to domestic violence from purchasing and possessing firearms.

This is just another example of not only how far the Gun Lobby will go to
advance their agenda but also the threat that conservative court-packing
represents.
