John, science and politics aren’t as different as they may seem.

No matter what hat I’ve worn throughout my life – whether as an engineering student at Stanford, as a captain in the Air Force, or as a chemistry teacher in North Philadelphia – I’ve stuck to the same scientific process: I look at the facts and work together with my colleagues to reach practical, commonsense solutions.

So, in Congress, I’ve taken that same scientific approach – and I’ve been able to solve difficult problems with Representatives across the political spectrum:

• I currently co-chair the Climate Solutions Caucus – the only bipartisan committee working to address the effects of climate change.

• I helped launch the first-ever Women in STEM Caucus to support women pursuing STEM careers.

• I helped to pass the Inflation Reduction Act, which is expected to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by approximately 40% by 2030.

But right now, too many Republicans choose to ignore facts and data. They’d rather play politics than work to solve the problems that matter most to their constituents.

I’m determined to keep putting facts first. But right now, we’re still falling short of our end-of-month fundraising goal – and we have just two days to close the gap and ensure we have the resources to power my campaign.

So please, John: Can I count on you to give $5 so I can continue my fight for bipartisan progress in Congress?

There's work to be done.
