Hi John! I wanted to personally reach out to share an update on our candidate recruitment efforts for this 2024 cycle.

But first, I want to thank you for being a part of this organization. We don’t take a dime from corporate PACs, so your support means a whole lot to us, especially now as it’s a tough time financially for many grassroots organizations and nonprofits.

Now, to share some updates about what we’re focused on right now. We have been laser focused on candidate recruitment:

• Last cycle, we spoke with 3,990 local leaders about our races and vetted 1,653 potential candidates to ensure we backed the best possible leaders. This is what we are in the middle of doing right now!

But, unfortunately, when our work and need for resources is ramping up – donations to JD have slowed down. Last month, we needed to conduct layoffs and the future of our work depends on our ability to fundraise.

Will you rush a $3 contribution right now to support our candidate recruitment efforts to ensure we have the resources to recruit the next AOC?

AOC in 2018; Jamaal Bowman and Cori Bush in 2020; and most recently Summer Lee in 2022 all came out of our candidate recruitment program. And everyday we are talking to potential candidates who could join them and the rest of the squad in 2024 and beyond!

But it can only happen if we are able to reach our fundraising goals.

We need to raise $87,000 by the end of this month and are asking everyone who cares about JD’s existence to chip in whatever they can. Will you make your best gift right now?
