John,
Earlier this week, on the 60th anniversary of the historic March on Washington and to mark Women’s Equality Day, President Biden called on Congress and the nation to finally place the Equal Rights Amendment in the Constitution.
As you can see from his messages on Twitter and his longer and moving official Proclamation on Women’s Equality Day, his support is clear and unequivocal.
Joe Biden knows that because the ERA has already been ratified by ¾ of the States, all that stands in the way of placing it in the Constitution is action by Congress.
It is important for the coming 2023 and 2024 elections that everyone – every voter and especially the President – make clear which candidates stand for placing the ERA in the Constitution immediately and who stands against immediate enshrinement of the ERA in the Constitution.
To encourage President Biden to amplify his message and urge him to make the ERA a core part of his campaign message, take a moment to send this message to Joe Biden today.
Please do it right now to keep the momentum for the ERA going and growing.
Thank you for caring and acting.
For equality, freedom, and democracy,
Eleanor Smeal, President |
