It’s Ilhan. Here’s the truth.

It wasn’t easy running to be one of the first two Muslim women ever elected to Congress.

It wasn’t easy to make my voice heard on issues from Medicare for All, to foreign policy, to the Green New Deal and more when many in Washington wanted to silence me — even within the Democratic caucus.

And it hasn’t been easy taking on the attacks from Trump, House Republicans, and the establishment that stands in the way of progress.

But we’ve done all of these things, and that’s thanks to you.

Because this movement — and our mission — has never been about just one person. We have worked to build a movement of people from all backgrounds who share our progressive values and believe that we must fight for a better world for all of us.

And we’ve proven three times now that this campaign can win when we have the help of grassroots supporters like you. But it takes everyone doing what they can, and chipping in what they can, to compete with the right-wing donors and billionaires who fund my opponents.
