Friend —

Deadly heat waves sweeping the nation. Maui on fire. Southern California on hurricane watch. Towns threatened by flooding and mudslides. All in the past few weeks.

Not to mention the communities in California choking on polluted air or lacking access to clean drinking water.

The climate crisis is here. To effectively tackle it, we need to rapidly phase out fossil fuels and move to a clean energy economy.

But the largest banks in the world are still fueling the climate crisis by funding fossil fuel companies. They dropped $668.6 billion just last year!

That’s why we need the Fossil Free Finance Act, which requires big banks to stop financing greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 and decrease their financed emissions by 50% by 2030.

Right now, tell Congress: Pass the Fossil Free Finance Act to stop banks from funding the climate crisis → [link removed]

This critical piece of legislation is already co-sponsored by congressional climate champions like California’s Jared Huffman and Barbara Lee.

Let’s keep building support for slashing fossil fuel companies’ windfall.

Thanks for taking action.
