This month, we celebrated the 88th anniversary of Social Security. Amid the Great Depression, Social Security was born and continues to serve as a vital lifeline for millions of Americans.
It’s a promise that our country has sustained: if you work and pay into the system, it will be there for you when you retire.
I know how important Social Security is, and that’s why I have always fought to protect and strengthen Social Security in Congress.
Unfortunately, Republican extremists have increasingly called for cuts to Social Security – not on my watch.
I know we must do more to protect and care for our seniors, and that’s why I promise to continue fighting for Social Security in Congress. Will you help me keep up this fight in 2024?
