LEGISLATIVE HIGHLIGHTS:

Thursday, February 20, 2020

I led a letter alongside 60+ of my Democratic colleagues to DHS Acting Secretary Chad Wolf to rescind the agency's xenophobic and racist decision to suspend the issuance of nearly all permanent visas for Eritrean, Kyrgyzstani, Burmese and Nigerian nationals, as well as the decision to end diversity visa eligibility for Sudanese and Tanzanian nationals. I also demanded the Department of Homeland Security briefs all Members of Congress on this matter immediately.
